What do we want to build?

Cities fit for the future

YIMBYism is not just about building for the sake of building, but about making urban spaces more accessible to the people using them. Pedestrianisation is one great way to include more people to spaces, to make areas look more pleasing, and to encourage sustainable transport.

Looking after the environment

Sustainable building is a key practice for Yimbys. Building on brownfield sites, for example, will encourage developers to leave green space for communal use, and to make derelict land meaningful again.

Everyone uses space, buildings, and transport. NIMBYism has no place in the modern world.

We need to encourage the extension of these things to build a better, brighter Britain.
